Wave of season-long gambling suspensions expected to hit NFL this week
The NFL is set to hand down another wave of gambling suspensions, this time of the season-long variety, according to a new report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Several players around the NFL have faced penalties and lost playing time due to league rules surrounding sports betting. That includes Detroit Lions WR Jameson Williams, who the NFL suspended for six games this year for violating league policies on gambling.
Schefter reports that a handful of players across the league will face season-long suspensions for alleged gambling.
