Made in Wales 2019

A host of Wales’ most innovative, sustainable and forward thinking manufacturers were in the spotlight last night (3 October 2019), including a developer of hair removal devices, a healthy snack bar producer and a soft drinks brand. Insider‘s Made in Wales event took place at Cardiff City Hall and was compered by Siân Lloyd. Wales Business Insider editor Douglas Friedli said “there’s a lot to be positive about in Wales right now” but there are also “challenges”. “We’ve heard about job cuts and factory closures in Wales,” he said. “But manufacturing and product design are strong here with companies expanding left, right and centre.” Sponsors for the evening were Barclays, Blake Morgan, Forward Waste Management, Hunter Selection and Sony UK Technology Centre. Qatar Airways sponsored the networking booklets and CCSL were proud sponsors for the drinks reception.
