We’re delighted to say that our #LeaseholdersTogether rally will now be held on Thursday 16 September 2021 in Parliament Square, London.
The joint rally will see the End Our Cladding Scandal campaign join forces with the National Leasehold Campaign (NLC) and charity Leasehold Knowledge Partnership, two organisations that have paved the way for leasehold reform in recent years.
Our fight is not just about cladding. It’s about all things leasehold. It’s the thing that ties us all together. The rally will see a range of MPs and speakers take to the stage and with your help will send a clear message to Government that enough is enough.
Trust us when we say a huge amount of thought has been put into deciding on this date: it falls on the day of an important All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on leasehold, meets current Covid restrictions, will mean key MPs can attend (the majority do not attend events outside of their constituency on weekends) and is when Parliament is back from their summer break.
Join the Rally Bus!
We want to unite leaseholders nationally, so we’re offering transport to the London rally from selected destinations for just £10.
UKCAG and the End Our Cladding Scandal are run entirely by volunteers. We continue to be overwhelmed by the generous donations made to our fundraiser; these funds have helped us support local protests, project onto Parliament, run advertising campaigns and contribute to our day-to-day running costs. In the run-up to this rally we’re asking for further donations to help ensure we can deliver the best rally possible. Please help if you can. Thank you.
We’re grateful to everyone who has already expressed an interest in helping and will be looking at what’s left to do, and where we need help, in the coming weeks. In the meantime, we already know we’ll definitely need a team of volunteer stewards on the day. To help with this, you’ll need to be available for most of the day (so it’s more likely suited to those who are London based). Keep an eye out for more information on this soon.
The End Our Cladding Scandal campaign calls on the Government to lead an urgent, national effort to fix the building safety crisis.
