Better Bexhill
Like many people living in Bexhill I moved here having started out somewhere else. Since I moved here in 1993 there has been a rumble of discontent expressed mainly through the pages of the local newspaper, the Observer.
People are generally very appreciative of the seaside town and its Edwardian heritage, but there seems to be a feeling that something is wrong. Something is missing. The population of Bexhill is more than 50% retired, so they do not want drastic change and are fearful of redevelopment, it seems.
There is much talk of sympathetic regeneration, but that inevitably means different things to different people! So, citizens of Bexhill young and old - what do you think we need? That's what this blog is about..... 01 July 2008
