It was released on May 15th...
Diablo 3 has been out for over half a
diablo 3 gold month now. Today I'm going to share some of my thoughts and experiences on it thus far.
Diablo 3 has grabbed the attention of many including myself. I'm sure tons of WoW players feel the same way! When you log on whether it was WoW or Diablo 3 you will notice your friends list is a little more active than usual. However, when you press "O" all you see is people on Diablo 3!
Having most of my friends being online all the time made me play Diablo 3 much more than I anticipated... I was slaying the Prime Evils a little more than I should. It only took a few days for my sleeping schedule to be reversed like a "Vampire".
It has almost been 150 hours since I've played Diablo 3. 20 days has passed since Diablo 3 came out at the time of this screenshot so I've been averaging 7. 5 hours a day. I consider my Monk to probably be one of the most geared in the USA, however that definitely does not excuse how much I've been playing. How much have you guys played? It might surprise you when you check your profile... at least it surprised me!
So why am I playing Diablo 3 so much? I've cleared Inferno which means I've slayed Diablo a minimum of 4 times. What is fun in content that is the same every time I do it?
To me Diablo 3 has an addiction feel to it similar to gambling. "Magic Find" and the sheer amount of RNG Diablo is based on has an enticing feel to it. You always want to just farm a little more to try your luck. You never know what you may find that could be worth millions of gold.
However there's a limit to how long I could stand farming Siegebreaker, Goblins, and Resplendent Chests for.
I've been playing quite a lot less in the last week. The hype of Diablo 3 in my blood has finally started to die down. I'll still log on a lot as many of my friends know. Most of the time they probably notice I'm not really doing anything at all... I've been
buy diablo 3 gold declining most of my invites to farm groups other than when I'm live streaming. So what am I doing when I'm online?
I've been playing the Auction House. Since last week, Diablo 3 hasn't been a grind game to me anymore. It has been an economy game based on the gold and possibly real money whenever the Real Money Auction House comes out. Diablo 3 gold is selling insanely well. It has been going for a market price of $15 per Million. It has dropped in price these last few days, but that's still quite a lot of money for some gold! If you know how the auction house works, you could easily make a good amount of gold from logging on for 10 minutes, and checking your auctions after a couple of hours. It has a bit of an enticing feel to it. The feel of success when you play the auction house right... The feeling when you log on and you see gold just waiting for you after selling something. That feeling is further exaggerated with the fact that Diablo only allows 10 auctions and you can't change your auctions for 1. 5 days. Making the right decisions was extremely important to making big gold.
Have you guys had any extreme success on the auction house? The biggest success I've had is when Wizards were getting nerfed from their Life Regeneration build. I immediately bought 3 full stashes of Intelligence and Vitality gear that day and resold the majority of them one day later. I made over 20 million gold from this and it was an AWESOME feeling.
It's sad that PvP in Diablo 3 has not been released yet. I think this has made my Diablo 3 experience to be on some halt from now on til it's released. I'll be looking forward to it though, and I'm hoping it won't disappoint me. I'm mainly going to only log on for the auction house and maybe some live streaming sessions, but outside of that I don't plan to excessively grind anymore. It would've been awesome to try out my completely decked out monk in PvP and maybe even deck him out further for it!
Diablo 3 has been a fun and addicting game. The
cheap diablo 3 gold leveling experience wasn't much of a grind at all. In fact it was awesome leveling along with friends. Going "WOW, look at what I found! " and linking cool stuff to your friends was fun too. However, in the last week I feel I've reached the climax of this game and I've been naturally playing WoW, Dota 2, League of Legends and other various games much more again. Diablo 3 will probably take a more casual turn for me as I don't plan to join the "Hardcore Diablo Kill" race that many people has taken.
What was Diablo 3 like for you?
