I called you last night
but you wern't at home.
So I gave my heart
to your answerphone.

shattered
taking my time
playing the game
you know the one
it takes all energy
every fibre of your soul.
But turning myself around
I found my reflection
smiling into the darkness
and looking for a reason
to continue my existence.
and so if we are running
tearing through the jungle
of concrete and glass
where is the sanity point
the breaking and bleeding point
and what are we running from.

achievements.
To have you believe in me
would be like a rainbow in my hand.
Like sunsets in my back yard
or a summer motorbike ride.
To have you needing me
would be like a winter casserole.
A full autograph book
or a feeling of complete achievement.
To have you loving me
would be like a gift from Harrods.
Like plane rides across moolight skies
or a dance on a spotlit floor.

Time
GIVE ME TIME
TIME TO HEAL.
TIME TO FILL THE SPACE
THE SPACE WHERE YOU BELONGED.
I TURNED MYSELF AROUND
AND NOTICED YOU HAD GONE.
LIKE A SILENT PREDATOR
YOU TOOK OFF WITH MY HEART.
AND NOW I HAVE NO CONCEPT
OF HOW I'M SUPPOSED TO EXIST
WITHOUT YOUR TOUCH,YOUR SMILE
OR YOUR SENSE OF FUN AND STYLE.
