Hi everyone! This is the first of many blogs on how YOU can do your make up professionally with no fuss, no experiance and no stress.
For starters we're all different, some of use don't feel confident with our skin therefore want to wear foundation, were as other feel fine bare skinned we just want to add a bit of glam to our look.
Were to Start
For me i like to start my routine with a good cleanser as it cleans all those dead skin sells out, who wants to apply there beautiful foundation on to ruff, tired skin, a good cleanser is essential and can make you feel so much more confident as it makes your skin glow.
I suggest 'Simple' cleanser or 'Nivea Young' for young skin as it's soft and hydrates the skin; For mature skin i suggest 'No 7' age renew range as it is a real rich, non fragranced range which is perfect for a good clean without disturbing your natural PH balacne.
Young Skin
After applying cleanser, for young skin i suggest just giving your skin a good wash in WARM water, the warmer the water the more your pores will open up releasing the dirt trapped, it also causes the blood to rush to the top of your skin leaving you with that health 'dewy' glow all the 'celeb's' have. An amazing tip is; to finish off give your skin a quick splash with cold water after washing with warm as it will close up all your pores so no more dirt can get it and it also helps to calm down the redness left from hot water, leaving you that fresh, rosy glow.
Mature Skin
I know it sucks girls but your skin is classed as 'mature' when you hit 25! As thats when your skin starts to loosen instead of tighten as it did all those years before... So now after cleansing you might want to start to Tone. Toners are a great way to keep your skin tight, remove any excess oil the cleanser missed and also many new toner help soften the skin to stop it going 'leathery' with age. Toners also give you a real fresh feeling helping you feel confident that your skins fully clear and ready for the next step, moisturiser & make up.
I suggest 'Elizabeth Arden Hydra-splash Alcohol free Toner' as it balances your skin PH without any harsh chemicals, for those on a buget try 'Boots Expert Toner' .
The final step
Finally all of us girlys need to Moisturise! I can't stress enough how much this will look after your skin and keep you lookin young. Moisturiser keeps skin hydrated, dry skin is more susceptible to premature aging therefore moisturising twice a day will keep your skin healthy no matter what your age. In the morning is most important, as it protects your skin from the tough weather and the smoke and pollution around us, it also give a good smooth base to apply make up on. (Look out for moisturiers with an SPF as it gives you protection from the sun, even if its winter the sun rays can still harm and age your skin)
Applying moisturisers; Start by squirting a 'nut' size amount onto the palm of your hand,
Rub your hands together lightly to warm the moisturiser up
Then gently rub in upward circle motions over cheeks, forehead and neck, avoiding your eye area as the skin the is very sensitive you don't want to apply using this same 'rubbing' motion.
After It's all rubbed in, apply a tiny amount on to your finger tips,
Shut your eyes and gently stoke down over your eye lids, and then inwards towards you nose on your bottom eye lids.
I suggest 'Boots Expert Anti Blemish day moisturiser SPF 15' for young skin as it prevents spots, protects from the sun and doesn't brake the bank. For mature skin i suggest 'Sanctuary Rich Rejuvenating SPF 15' as its a rich creamy high in vitamins mixture, whilst protecting you all day!
