People of Petersfield I want to write a blog about the people of Petersfield, a vast range of ages, from OAP'S to 12-20 year olds and get a real concept about how they feel Petersfield has changed in the last 10 years, what there preceptions are of each other, if there is any

Rock Challenge

Dance the night away!

The students at TPS are working very hard this term, preparing for the schools biggest performance event! The Local School has entered the competition several times over recent years, and have proved to come out with excellent results! Last year receiving first for their interpretation through dance of chat rooms on the internet and how they can go horribly wrong!
This year the theme as been kept a close secret between dancers and dance teachers but i am sure that the performance won’t let us down!
For a school that works on a tight budget they prove that talent shines over money!!

empty streets
AS I walked down the streets of Petersfield, I felt like I was all alone!
Shops are closing and as fast as they are leaving so are the crowds!
It’s hard to remember that Petersfield once upon a time used to be a major cattle market where people would gather every week to enjoy the hustle and bustle of the marketers.
We need to support what we have left and try and make Petersfield the town it once was, expand the field of where you normally by and try something new, or old.
Go out just for one drink and let the public houses know you still appreciate them; otherwise we will soon have nothing.

special,sad,snowy days!!
Some had Cried, some Died, some Laughed.

Snow shocked all of us when we woke up Monday morning! We all heard the new and knew what to expect, but in reality I think everyone doubted that predicted snow fall!
Schools closing and children out to play seemed odd to see on a Monday afternoon, but the children lapped up the snow, which was the best in town years, unfortunately what could have been a harmless act of fun, which everyone can remember doing, ended some lives Monday morning and I pass my condolences on the young girl who died in Sheffield by sledging with her best mates.
After such an emotionally happy day with children so easily pleased in the economic crisis, the day turned about well for people of Petersfield no damage was done and some a had two days of unexpectedly which is always a bonus!

State Schools show potential stars!

Amazing absurdly enormous achievements!

The schools of Petersfield really have picked up this year, taken action against all the criticism that they receive in comparison to Bedales and Churches. Tps has really changed since I left and that was only two years ago, working there now I have really seen a different side to the seriousness the staff have towards the future and well being of their pupils. Mr Pool fully supports an active, creative, imaginative pupil that can apply this appropriately to a productive lesson, this is made clear when the school enters an International competition such as Rock Challenge and comes first. Tps does contain a diverse amount of pupils, those who enjoy their time there to those that are not too bothered and completely different those who hate there time there, assessing that I don’t think there is one pupil that can say they did not feel welcome there, or were not pushed to try their hardest. Petersfield should be proud that such as massive school that is government funded can pull its self through and make achievements that a private school struggles to reach.

sad sorry and shocked to see shops leaving our swe

surreal, sad, but true!

Today marks for the fifth shop Petersfield has to wave goodbye. Petersfield has always been remarked as a lovely Town with Quaint shops and a lively but polite atmosphere, today I am ashamed to say the atmosphere was not the same. Red banners everywhere, FINAL REDUCTIONS, SALE! It really is upsetting to see fellow businesses struggling. It makes you feel so helpless! Syn Star one of Petersfield towns first phone shops has announced that it will be closing its doors and saying goodbye next week, Woolworths one of Petersfield's most monumental shops waved goodbye two weeks ago, what has it come to when you cannot even pop into your local Woolworths and get some decent Ladybird school clothes, pick a mix, CD or a recent DVD! Not to mention that we say good bye to Tchibo by the end of January!
All the advice I can give you fellow people of Petersfield is support the local businesses, after all they are what make Petersfield the Town, I am sure you are all missing!
