Mystery Cat Kitty around town Just general observations about down town Doncaster

Concert
Ok so I didn't make it to the concert myself but reports I've heard included 'it wasn't very full' and 'they ran out of food' both of which don't make for a good review of the first concerts in the new stadium. Come on pull your socks up and get your act together Doncaster needs tobe able to offer promoters a venue like this.......

Concerts at the Keepmoat

So its raining again - will the Bryan Adams concert be a washout? I hope not. Its good to have a place in Doncaster that can hold such events. Did anyone go to the Ronan/ McFly concert last night - I wonder why this cat wasn't invited? You can't beat a good gig can you. The last one I went to was in the new Wembley Stadium and it rocked. For a good few days afterwards I felt hyper. The power of music is amazing. Lets hope that Bryan can create the same buzz in Doncaster tonight - Rock on Mr Adams

Big Top Ball
Doncaster Chamber and the JCI held their big top ball on Saturday at Castle Park. Fire eaters greeted the guests as they walked down the red carpet. The food was good and everyone had scrubbed up very nicely. The rain didn't cause the anticipated problems and a good evening was had by all. Well done to the organisers who'd pulled together the circus themed event and the yoyo trinkets were an extra special touch looking around to see business men and women trying to remember the best way to yoyo was a picture I'll never forget!

Jaynes Wedding Dress Shop
I love it! Each week there is a new dress and I know it is extremely girly to admit such a thing but I look forward to seeing what kind of dress will be in the window. You see the cars going round the roundabout with passengers craning to see what sparkly wedding delight will be on show. On the whole they are lovely dresses but every now and then there is one that I really take offence to - you know the kind - the ones with lots of colour on or just simply inappropriate ones.
Jaynes is a Doncaster institution - long may it go on...

Hatfield Woodhouse Village Hall
Not a place you'd normally find me on a Friday evening but last week was different. It was Caberet night and the folk were a singing. Admittedly some were better than others. The young ones were great. Jon Whiteley in the second half was the star of the show. It made a change from a normal night on the town - I strongly recommend it go in this weekend do something different you never know you might like it!!!!
