Osteoporosis and Stuff

Living with Osteoporosis

 10 February 2009

If, like me you suffer from Osteoporosis then you will understand what I am going to describe, if you don't suffer then please read this so you can understand this illness more.

When I wake up in the morning usually after a bad nights sleep, I hurt from head to toe, my bones are painful and my joints ache.  It usually takes a few hours before I can function properly, If I go out I have to use a walking stick and I can only walk a short distance before I rest.  I take prescribed painkillers which on a really bad day I top up with Paracetamol, this is OK by the doctor.  My bloke does everything he can to help but he has to work because we need money to pay for essentials like food, rent etc., I do get a benefit for my disability but even if my bloke did not work we cannot guarantee enough benefits to live.

I want to know where is the justice in that, I worked full time until my disability and my bloke has never been out of a job since he was 15, he is now 56.  Do you agree with me or not, I would like to know your opinion.
