I WONDER
After 29 years i am stepping back into my home town.." Aylesbury "..i am so looking forward to it.
I wonder, will i know my way around town ?..will i still be able to get a coffee from my once favorite cafe in Kingsbury Square..i wonder, will i be able to take a stroll around the vale park down the high st..watch some tennis and listen to the bands play at the weekends..?.
I wonder are the big chestnut trees that stood tall and mighty still there in Alfred Rose Park..can i still watch a wedding at the gates of St Marys church..are the draws full of butterflys still in the museum near the church..?..will i be able to take one last look at my old school " ST MARYS "..at the bottem of Rickford Hill where i once lived..i wonder .
Does the shop still stand where i got my every first job after leaving school way back in the 60,s..JARVIS,S.in them days i was known as "MISS MORGAN ".. i was very shy back in those days and i remember only to well one of my jobs was to sweep the entrances into the shop..back then i used to get a lot of wolf whistles..oh how i would blush.
Can one still send a penny in the public toilets in Kingsbury square..can i go marvel at all the toys in Bakers..i wonder ..and have fish chips and mushy peas from the chippy  in Buckingham St just a little way past that wonderful toy shop that used to get my attention for hours..
Oh how i wonder ..:)
