Purpose in life
Currently doing a course which includes information on Bach Flower remedies. Have never tried them but the Dr who created them believed we all have a purpose in life and that if we found our true purpose and path it leads to health, happiness and fulfillment. So pondering on what my purpose in life might be.
First thoughts are
1) to keep our family in contact and be supportive to them
2) encourage and support others. My work with individauls as a Counsellor hopefully does this but I would like to do some group work .
3) Leave behind photos and mementos that might be useful for historical purposes
4) Be able to write "things" that again might be useful to encourage and support others. Not sure what form this will be but perhaps by "blogging" all will become clearer.
So what might be YOUR purpose in life?

Book review- and reading in general
Got the book "Burnt Toast" by Teri Hatcher for a pound in the £1 shop. Halfway through and enjoying it . Would recommend for people with low self-esteem, especially women. Love my reading , learn so much from the different books I read.
Reading is useful to relax, and I heard someone recently say how many people have never been read to us a child. Used to read a lot to my children when they were small. Would like to think I've passed on my love of books.

Decluttering/photos
I LOVE a declutter. Am by nature a hoarder who has learned to live more minimally and not hoarde so much.
Though am very sentimental re gifts I have been given and photographs. Cherish my photos and have MOST of them in date order in files now. Feel they are my family history.
Dread the thought of them being chucked. Would love them to go to a museum or to some future family member who would love them as I do.
Do believe in the motto that sometimes you've to get rid of the old to make way for the new.
But my photos must be saved!!!!!!!!

Cycles of life
Just been reading an article that our life sometimes has cycles of ups and downs . Can think of times my own life has had cycles of losses. I suppose it's similar to when you get a series of electrical stuff all breaking down at once, then you get a run of everything works Ok again.

Improving!!
Having some teething troubles with this blog, but as with most things we learn and improve if we keep trying.
Was delighted that someone has posted a comment re my first blog, But didnt know how to reply to it or if that is possible (yet).
Think that this blogging could become pleasantly addictive.

Book review
Just finished reading Marian Keyes "Sushi for Beginners" which I enjoyed. Characters are set in a Woman's magazine company. Gave me insight on different relationships.

Life after death????
Been discussing with friends whether we believe in life after death, and if any of us have had "signs" that it exists.
Reminds me of article I read recently that discussed the "ripple effect" of our lives on others. These can spread far and wide, and pass down to generations. Hope MY life sends some good ripples to others.

First Day "blogging"
Congratulating myself that last night I took the step of deciding to have a blog, and DID take the the step of registering. The phrase of a famous book came to mind "Feel the fear and do it anyway" by Susan Jeffers. But once I'd registered I could not think of what to say as an opener.
Anyway thought I'd wait until today to begin but then have struggled a bit finding my blog "space" and what I'd written as an intro about myself. Hopefully I am now up and running.
Will make this first blog short and sweet to check if I'm doing things correctly. And end with the thought of how often do we not go ahead with the things we want to do because of our fears, self-doubts or concerns about what others will think. Or how often we (including myself) sometimes put things off, sometimes thinking we haven't the time or maybe the money. Yet if we really make the commitment maybe we can find the time, resources or money.
