Quiet Time
Hi
Its me!
For the past few months since my return from Canada I have been trying to pay off the bank manager and keep a low profile as far as women are concerned. After my year of trying to find a wife I decided that I needed to just cool things off - many people had told me if I stopped looking I would find a potential wife...so that's what I have been doing. I have been so busy with training and work that I have almost enjoyed my time away from searching.
However, last week I was approached by a new woman's magazine called First. They wanted to do an article about my exploits so I agreed - the mag comes out on November 13th if your interested!!

Back in th UK
Hi
Well I flew back into the UK last week and it took me three days to recover. It has been a wonderful experience meeting many new friends, having some cosmetic treatments and traveling across Canada from coast to coast. In terms of media coverage, my quest was featured on national TV on Canada AM on September 8th as well as locally in Calgary, Victoria, Thunder Bay and Toronto...plus I was featured on 3 newspapers covers and appeared on 2 live radio phone ins.
So now its back to work in the UK and we have a charity dinner dance on October 5th and this should raise the remaining monies for my charity trip which I now expect to complete before Christmas.
In terms of meeting women, I am in email correspondence with 5 women in Canada and 2 in the UK....i am getting out and about regularly and am hopeful I can meet some other compatible women. However, a large part of me wants to just reflect on the past year and play a more low key role in my attempt to understand who I am. how I live day to day, and of course, my aspirations to meet Mrs Mc!

Friendly Folk!
Hi Everyone
Well my mini adventure in Corner Brook, Newfoundland comes to a close today. It has been a hectic few days with far too many red wines and a few exercise sessions at the Pepsi Centre to balance things up!
The Newfie folk really are friendly and I must admit there can be fewer places I have visited where I have been made to feel so welcome.
The media attention this week has been great - as a result of this I received over 60 emails from local and regional women and managed to go on x 1 casual coffee encounter with Charlie and x 1 date with Sherry.
The date with Sherry was paid for by k Rock FM and we enjoyed a wonderful meal and drinks...I even kissed the cod and drank some screech....come on I must be an adopted Newfie by now! I even got caught talking to another woman who was originally from Wigan of all places...however she was in her 70's!
You can see me below with Steve and Kathy from K Rock ( great radio station by the way as the music is so cool ) and you can also email me to receive the archive tape of Sherry talking about the date.

Finally, a monster thank you to The Wignalls - the perfect hosts who have embarked on a new life in Canada...thank you so much guys...I owe you one.

Newfie Time - Corner Brook
Hi Everyone,
I landed yesterday for the first time in Newfoundland which is one of the furthest points east in Canada.
I am spending three days with Dr John Wignall, wife Angela and children Jack & Emily.
With Emily as my guide, we drove first thing to the Pepsi Centre for a work out which is always a great way to start the day. We then had lunch with 'The Olds' before linking up with the media.
Our first stop was the Western Star where we met a great guy called Gary who interviewed me and then put me on the front page of the local newspaper..The Western Star...you can read this by going to
http://thewesternstar.com/index.cfm?sid=57823&sc=25We then made our way to the local radio station CFCB / K Rock News and met a wonderful, warm woman called Tonya who was having great fun taking the mickey out of Emily's posh accent! Anyway, she aired a piece from me and the phone lines lit up....now they want me back in tomorrow at 7:30am to do a live show...bring it on Newfies!
Already I have had 5 emails asking about me and I can't wait to meet them all..soon before I fly out back to Calgary.
For the rest of the day we are driving to Gros Morne which is a National Park to see some wonderful sights...Tim Horton's coffee in hand, with a low fat blueberry muffin!!

This week I flew into Thunder Bay, Onatario and was filmed on local tv and featured in the local papers...and tomorrow I am live on radio 103.5fm...if you want to see me on TV just click on this link...
http://tbtv.dayport.com/launcher/12074/?tf=tbtviewer_2004.tplSo far I have had 3 dates or casual coffee encounters - one was very nice and compatible and will be persuing that one later today. However, I have good news and bad news...first the good news...I have been to the gym everyday since arriving in TBay ie Canada Games Complex and Push( where I met one of my previous students who recognised me after 21 years ). The bad news is I am being kept night time beer hostage at Mad House Bar by my good host Dougie Adamson...a Scottish firefighter !!!!

Surgery & More

Well Hollywood came and went...LA was fine and I met some great women but not the special one or anyone close. So I traveled back to Canada and underwent some laser surgery in Calgary. After this I traveled to BC and met Dr Lisa who tapped my head and used sophisticated computer equipment to de sensitise me to certain foodstuffs...a very interesting experience and all in the cause of making myself better!
I then traveled by The Dog ie Greyhound Bus back to Calgary for part 2 of my laser surgery. Last night I met a young lady named Gail who was a former world champion equestrian show jumper - she has invited me to her stables soon!
I have another x 2 coffee dates tomorrow and I am looking forward to meeting what seem like very interesting women. You know, making friends is great!
Oh I almost forgot, I was on Canadian TV last week featuring my goal of changing my life and finding a wife..so far I have received over 40 emails! You can check out the article by contacting
www.calgary.ctv.ca and put my name in the serach request...it is as simple as that.
Off to Thunder Bay on Friday to meet Lisa and Elizabeth - both of whom contacted me via an article that was written about me in the Lakehead University Magazine.
