All about...
I have been a practising Dog Behaviourist for nine years, after training as a Veterinary Nurse in Norfolk.
In 2000 I gained a certificate in Dog Psychology while studying with the Canine Behaviour Centre, Cumbria.
I live in Suffolk with my partner and we have a rescue 9 year old black German Shepherd and a Labrador, who I have trained to work during the Winter season. We also have 2 cats and 3 horses.
My work helps owners learn about their dog's challenging behaviour and how to make improvements. I use a variety of techniques that promote a positive environment, to encourage a calm and willing mental attitude from your dog. I encourage owners to create boundaries on behaviour, which helps the dog feel more secure. Issues on leadership are rebalanced so an improved, more trusting relationship can develop.
I work for Gavin Deans Veterinary Surgeries in Thurston and Haughley as their resident Dog Behaviourist and Veterinary Nurse. I attend Continual Professional Development Courses on Behaviour and Veterinary Nursing.
The West Suffolk branch of the RSPCA, use my services for difficult rehabilitation cases.
I have written over 100 articles for magazines and newspapers. Regular articles can be found in the Citizen Newspaper, delivered in the local area.
