Finningley Airport aka Robin Hood Airport
Does anyone know how to get information about when the old Finningley Airport, now known as the Robin Hood Airport, will be opening up travel to Los Angeles?  I was hoping that, when the announcement was made to utilize it as a commercial airport, that L.A. would be one of its traveling points.  Not so!  I'm making a trip over there next year and would love to fly into Doncaster instead of Manchester - it would be so much easier for my family, as well.  Does anyone else have the same difficulties, or is it just me?

I am amazed how the British public can still afford to live on the island.  With such severe problems-bank failures, price of gas (petrol) and other commodities, catering to the extremely high numbers of immigrants (legal and otherwise), it's hard to see how the regular 'jack and jill' in mainstream England survives.  Even though we are encountering similar problems in the U.S., I wonder that the Brits in Britain can put food on the table.
I'd like to know how the real British public feel about the drastic changes developing there.  Today, I read an article about someone wanting to bury a loved one on Saturday but were told that was not possible, because the family isn't Muslim.  What's wrong with that picture?  Everything!
