Manton Pride To discuss idea's to get the people of Manton to take pride in their area

Fly Tipping
I have lived in the Manton area most of my life. I must say, I have never seen so much rubbish thrown about in all that time as I see now. We, in Manton seem to think that we are a special case since the mine closed and that it is a deprived area. Let me say this now, Manton has a lot more than most areas in Worksop.  The only thing that makes it look deprived are some people that live in Manton. I regularly take my dogs for a walk on the lane at the back of Cavendish rd and Rufford st and I must say there is something new everyday. The people on these roads seem to think it's alright to dump what they no longer need on the lane, creating a damn eyesore. There's everything from everyday rubbish to the old hedge because we have a new fence. Recently an old lawn has appeared, must be returfing, can't be bothered to take it to the reclycing depot.

Where I live, we have a garage site behind us, today some toerag has been redecorating and decided that it is easier to dump it round there than to put it in the car and take it away and dispose of it properly.

So come on people of Manton. Start taking a bit of pride in your surroundings and maybe it will start to look a bit brighter in Manton.
