window blind safety Make sure you choose child safety options when purchasing a new blind for your windows or patio doors.

window blind safety
After reading the terrible news that recently a young child died from being strangled in the cord loops of his roller blind, I was prompted to write this blog.
If you are thinking of purchasing a new roller or vertical Blind or you have one already then please think about using one of the many safety options available to secure your blind cords or chains.
We recently bought a blind for our new babies room and I was keen to make sure it was totally safe for her, so after reading some reviews and advice on blinds we bought one online from a Warwickshire company called incrediBlinds.co.uk.  We wanted to know all about safety options and found that the website had lots of useful tips and solutions, they even had a blog all about keeping your children safe,. There was even an article from the  Window Covering Safety Council which was very informative. When We received our blind it came with a child safety warning tag and a cord and chain tidy which you afix to the wall to keep the chain or cord taut, and it was very easy to install.
So parents, Grandparents, child carers etc do your bit to protect the children and check your blinds today.
