Drama in Fulwood
The Hall Players delivered their play "Black Widow" during January. What a hoot!!!. Laughed till tears streamed down my face. Well Done, I say.
Can't wait for the next production "Seeds of Doubt". Said to be hilarious. Alan, tending his vegetable plot, soon finds seeds of doubt are sown in his mind. Produced by Dominic Swarbrick it should be fun!!! Signs already out round the area and its still 3 weeks to March 18/20. Still i suppose the early bird catches the worm.
Will finish the night off in the Social Club, so handy being in the same building. Fortunate to have such facitilities.
Quality evening at low cost - that is how to beat the recession.

In the picture
Well I am now. It seems that Rob is organising a photo competition with prizes of those super digital frames. I usually have a go at these competitions but never win. Last time I had an entry at the horticutural show of a robin in actual flight, I thought it was pretty good. Didn't win though. This is the first one I've seen where entries can be uploaded so expect it to be popular.
Can never remember the entry site so will have go via the link on the home page of broughtonparish.org.uk.

The World is not enough!!
Well it seems to be going that way.
Only last week we received requests for the CD from the States, Norway and then......following an email... a visitor from Australia called at the door requesting cd's. Mind you he hadn't come all this way just for them - he was vsiting family as well. In view of the continued interest - have decided to put pictures on YouTube - BroughtonChoir - note it is one word.
Wonder what visitors I will have next week!!!!!

A great show
Yes its getting to that time of year again when we think of the Horticultural Show. It amazes me how each year there are hundreds of enntries. How is it when I grow carrots they come out stunted and in weird shapes? Or the wine is bitter and tasteless? The exhibits at this show put me to shame. Baking, photos, crafts, flower arranging, all make for a fantastic display. Such talent. I must remember to order my sandwich early they ran out last time!!!
Broughton Flower, Horticultural and Craft Show
