How to measure the silk?
As we go shopping for silk sheets , we always hear such a unit-momme. Maybe you are getting confused with it, and what is that? Momme weight is a way of measuring things developed by the Japanese. Momme weight is a standard way of measuring the weight of natural silk as well as a common way to measure pearls. Momme is pronounced much like the word "mummy." For silk sheet sets a momme weight of 12-19 is considered good quality with silk sheets in the range of 16-19 being very high quality. Anything lower than 12 will result in silk sheets that are not as durable as they should be which means they will be more prone with damage and tearing. To standard for measuring momme weight is by using a piece of fabric that is 100 yards long and 45 inches wide. If that piece of fabric weighs 19 pounds then the momme weight of that silk is 19. The higher the momme weight the heavier the silk fabric which means a greater amount of silk was used in the weaving process.

Gaining beauty from silk pillowcases
Due to its smoothness and softness of silk satin pillowcases, it is easy to prevent creases and wrinkles on women’s face. It is also less ‘harsh’, so when your hair does move around, it’s not ending up in tangles either. Same goes with preventing wrinkles. So even if you cannot afford to splurge on a whole set of silk bedding sets , invest in at least one pair of silk pillowcases. Anything that can help me avoid wrinkles for as long as possible and that may help you avoid having any more bad hair days is something silk bed sheet wants.

Pay attentions to details
Do not limit yourself to the location when deciding the modern wedding dresses, details is also a perfect way to show your sense! Pay attention to details that said there are ways to incorporate your personal sense of style into any ceremony -- no matter what the location. It's all in the details. Whether your motivation comes from the "something old, something new..." tradition, or the "I'm-going-to-do-this-MY-way" credo, wedding accessories are the easiest way to add a few unexpected touches of personal style to your setting. If you're a classic country bride, why not have your groom slip into a pair of cowboy boots and a lariat? If you're Scottish, don a kilt. Are you athletes? Change into running shoes for the ceremony. If you're the starving artist types, make it Birkenstocks. Even if you decide to go the straight up, by-the-book traditional route, you’re still communicating your own personal sense of destination weddings style. How? The ageless Grace Kelly gown, a string of pearls, a classic tux, the perfect pair of gold cufflinks... all are timelessly elegant. Just like you.

Second hand wedding dress makes good financial sen
Perhaps you do not wanna spend a big fortune on your destination wedding dresses. Here is an idea - Some brides may cringe at the idea of a second hand dress but the reality is it makes good financial sense, especially when heading to a consignment shop. Consignment shops do not generally just accept any item unless it is in top-notch condition and since most folks only wear their designer wedding dresses once, you’re likely to find a great deal on a dress. A couple of things to be aware of; know the return policy and get it in writing, compare the consignment/thrift price with the retail price of a brand new version (it should be at least 50% off the retail price), and make sure to check the garment for any strange smells, marks, stains, etc. Small budget can’t stop you from getting unique wedding dresses.

How to color the silk sheets sets?
Like the satin bedding, silk can also be painted into different colors. When painting a silk blankets baby with a rolled hem the field dries faster than the wet dye in the rolled hem which starts to work its way into the drier field causing an uneven watermark. To alleviate the uneven drying, pinch the dye out of the rolled hem with an absorbent paper towel, being careful not to stain the silk pillowcase with dye already collected on the towel. As the main piece dries, periodically dry the rolled hem with a hair drier. It deserves to be treated as a queen.

Wedding dress Style Dos + Don'ts
When we decide the exact destination wedding dress , some rules needed to be known before your visit. Do: Tie your look to your wedding location. If you're having a traditional ceremony with a formal reception, opt for a classic, timeless modest wedding gowns (like an A-line or ball gown with a square neckline). Getting married outdoors in an afternoon garden ceremony? Consider a strapless sheath made of a light material like silk gazer. If you're marrying in the sand on an exotic island, a flirty tea-length gown with festive shoes (or even barefoot!) is the ultimate nontraditional wedding attire. Do let your personality show through accessories, but don't let your jewelry overpower your ensemble. Don't: Let your wedding style dash your dreams of the perfect gown. If you have your heart set on fun, very cheap wedding gowns but you're worried it's not appropriate for your ceremony site, consider carrying a sash for a more demure look during your ceremony.

Best tools to reconstruct the silk sheets
More expensive items, more care need to be paid. However, if some rip occurred by careless on your luxury silk duvet, how to sew it up? Is the common needle okay? Of course, the answer is no. When working with simple reconstructed silk long underwear that have curves, use long lai needles which bend to the curves and have memory. Lai needles can be purchased in Hawaii and from some floral supply companies. Cut off the eye of the needle so it does not catch on the threads. Sand and coat them with clear nail polish so the metal doesn’t rust or stain the silk sheet. Do not anxious about it when such unexpected accidents happen.
