Prime Time?
A regular youth correspondant has given us his thoughts on running the country
here.
One favourite passage runs as such:
"Mutually Assured Destruction has already been well established between the major superpowers in the world so the odd nuclear missile not being used won't exactly go amiss will it?"

Double Trouble
This armed robbery at a garage is the second that has occured - see the first
here.
The damage was 60k the first time - webnews hopes that not as much was on site this time around.

Power updates
Those wanting the latest on the power should see
here - substation problems.
And see this
video report on the failure - the camera, as always, was running on battery.

Power struggle
Webnews apologises for the delay in breaking the news - but then it was a
power failure.
The big mystery is how
www.wscountytimes.co.uk managed to make the update at 2.30pm, despite lacking power at the office.

BNP etc
This
article is worth flagging up. By webnews maths, the BNP candidate was just 21 votes off being elected.
Turnout was high (30 odd % is high interest in local government) showing the interest the BNP still arouse.
It does seems suprising, however, that the third candidate chose to split what must of been the 'anti-BNP' vote, instead of standing aside.

Nelson's quote
The Nelson Pub, which is the
subject of a failed planning application has generated a wonderful quote.
As readers will know it is customary to publish these without credit, but Webnews will let on that it is a councillor who said:
| "I was always told: Never demolish a pub or a church" |
Sound advice.

County Times 'Most Popular'
Webnews weekly update on the 'Most Popular' shows the
hatred of speed cameras, a
rather good CCTV picture (high quality, obviously armed robberies are not 'rather good') and
live coverage of Horsham's football match.
Webnews can here promise a full speed camera report to come.
