Its a mad world
Poor old Dwain Chambers. A drugs cheat he definitely is. He made a big mistake , did his time but is still not allowed an olympic place. What a contrast with Mr Barton , a number of vicious assaults , does his time and is welcomed back to Newcastle on £40,000 per week - MAD

Llandod Lake
Once again the anti angling brigade got a long letter printed in the Journal. The rhetoric was disguised amongst the ramblings of a geriatric twitcher but nether the less it was there. What a shame people dont give Angling the credit it deserves in the fight to keep our waters clean! Whilst on the topic of the Lake how many townsfolk would like to see something happening up there except flocks of aggressive geese and swans rampaging about. How difficult would it be to put in place a managment plan that would see the lake being handed back to the town , without having too much impact on the wildlife?? What a resource for kids to learn to sail , kayak and fish , as well as getting the rowing boats back. Wasnt that why it was created in the first place?
