I found out that some of those popular magnetic building sets may actually be quite dangerous for children...
One brand is called
Magnetix and it is sold by
Mega Bloks, a Canadian firm. Seems Mega Bloks won't agree to a complete recall yet, but one infant has died and several older children have been hurt (this is rather disgusting but the kids' intestines got twisted and the magnets made holes through them).
Another brand is
Dracco Magnets which are cheap collectibles and have Toggo licensed characters pictured on them like
Spongebob Squarepants. Both of these are sold around here I think.
So be careful out there parents! Look out for missing magnets in your toys! If you know anyone who has a Magnetix set, tell them they can get their toy picked up and
