Wet Weather
Are we ever going to see Summer this year?
I am so fed up with the wet weather, I thought it would have at least started to get better, especially as we near the end of the Summer months!!!
With large parts of the UK under water and festivals memorable for mud, I lam feeling a wistful longing for hosepipe bans and sunburn.  But at present, balmy days remain a distant dream.

Forecasters say the unsettled weather, which caused the wettest June since records began, is set to continue. Some say it will continue into September and beyond - no wonder more and more people are going abroad.
I'm starting to wonder if we'll ever see summer again, if we don't, I'm off!!

Hearing Phoneline test
YOU may have already heard about the new national hearing phoneline test but if you haven't I think it is well worth giving it a go.
I couldn't wait to try it out, so yesterday after deadline I rang 0845 600 5555 and was greeted by  former GMTV presenter Eamon
Holmes who explains how the call will take five minutes before passing you onto the test expert.
You are asked to enter your age and gender before the test begins.

I have to admit I thought I'd sail through it. I had to have my hearing checked about a year and it was described as 'normal'.
You are asked to enter numbers into the phone as you hear them , but I missed a few and began to worry about the outcome of my test. Luckily, I received the result I'd been expecting - normal.

I would recommend it to anybody, it's a test for everybody not just those who are worried about their hearing but also those who want to know how they would score.

The only downside is you would have to ring twice to test both ears - I only did my left!
